After many years in the Nursing field it was time to stay home with our children. Freedom to spend time together and our faith in God are very important in our family.
Starting on a folding table in the corner of the living room, with a sewing machine that consistently jammed we started working with tartan. After purchasing a flat cap for her husband, Cheryl decided to try to make more of them. Dozens of flat caps that would never make it out of the sewing room and many adjustments later, and we finally came up with a flat cap pattern that had a fit we liked.
The flat cap was also combined with Scottish roots and tartan flat caps, neck ties, scarves, pet items, home décor and many other tartan products we now create.
Cheryl's husband Don, built a practical and beautiful sewing cabinet that has replaced the folding table. A tote of supplies has been replaced by a wall of fabric, cutting tables and taken over most of the basement.
We enjoy the challenge of custom orders. If you have an idea for an item that you do not see here contact us and we may be able to help you.
Don, Cheryl's husband, is a wonderful help when the orders pile up. He edits the website, assists with packaging and responds to emails.
Over time we have had a few ladies join the team. They help with cutting, sewing, packaging and coming up with new ideas.
From Nova Scotia to British Columbia and all points in between we are ready to meet your tartan needs.
